In the first game of a T20 Blast Double Header on a sweltering bank holiday Monday, Kent’s bowlers managed to restrict Sussex to 130 for 6 on what looked to be a flat pitch. Mollie Adams top-scored with 57*, while Gordon and Hollie Young picked up two wickets each.
The Kent reply was swift and clinical as Gordon hit a rapid 70 from 46 balls, including ten fours and two sixes, while Coco Streets batted more sedately for a well-made 48* from 40 balls to see Kent home.

Gloucestershire Women have included five new faces in their 2026 squad, with Abi Bryan, Lucy Bull, Bella Herring, Sophie Smith-Graham and Maddie White all promoted through the Gloucestershire Pathway system.
Ahead of the Blast, Gloucestershire announced the signing of Izzy Storrar on a season-long loan from Berkshire. The talented all-rounder has been a key figure throughout Berkshire’s pathway system and has already enjoyed success at senior level despite being just 19 years old.
Gloucestershire faced a strong Glamorgan side in their first Blast game of 2026 as part of three double headers hosted in Bristol this season. Emily Geach led the way with the ball taking 3/23 in four overs while Melissa Story top scored with 29 but the Severnside county fell 65 runs short of Glamorgan’s 184.

Team news
Kent Women Head Coach James Hockley has named a squad of 13 to take on Sussex Sharks in the first match of this Bank Holiday Double Header.
Unlike Kent Men, Kent Women aren’t a professional side, so player availability reaches further than selection based on fitness, form and application. External factors such as education, work and other commitments play a part in forming Kent Women’s matchday squads.
Right-arm seamer Hannah Hardwick could make her Kent debut after being signed on loan on a match-by-match basis from Hampshire.
Genevieve Jeer returns to the squad after having featured for England Women U19s in Australia earlier this year.
Rachel King has not been released by Surrey to play in this match. Izzy Cloke misses out due to injury & Tilly Callaghan remains out with a knee injury.
