WWE is reportedly interested in signing TNA Wrestling’s Mike Santana.

Reports indicated earlier this week that reigning TNA World Champion Mike Santana’s contract with the promotion will expire sometime this July. Now, according to Wrestlevotes Radio (via Fightful Select), WWE is interested in signing the 35-year-old.

The report also notes there is strong internal support from at least one member of the WWE main roster in bringing Mike Santana to the promotion. His work and professionalism are also said to be highly regarded by the company.

While no brand is nailed down for Mike Santana if he does sign with WWE, Wrestlevotes claims that the promotion would like to have him on the main roster by the end of this year.

Mike Santana made several appearances on NXT last year thanks to WWE’s partnership with TNA Wrestling. He’s been holding the TNA World Championship since winning it from Frankie Kazarian on iMPACT’s AMC debut on January 15, 2026. He’s scheduled to defend the championship at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. However, the promotion has yet to reveal his challenger. The show will take place on Sunday, June 28, the same day as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and the recently announced NXT Great American Bash.

Santana has previously noted that he’s “very open” to signing with WWE in the future. It will be interesting to see whether he ends up in the company once his TNA contract expires this summer.
