A second women’s match has been made official for the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event. The very personal rivalry between former best friends and tag team partners Bayley and Lyra Valkyria will take it to the ring in a one-on-one bout.
On the July 13 episode of Raw, Bayley called Valkyria down to the ring. Instead of the effervescent Valkyria we are used to, a disheveled version of the Bird Lady emerged. One that matched the look of her vignette a couple of weeks ago.
At first, Valkyria didn’t seem to want to speak as Bayley had to force the microphone into her hands. Then it appeared hard to make Valkyria stop talking as she blamed Bayley for holding her back for an entire year. She says it should be Bayley apologizing to her and not the other way around. She adds that Bayley always tries to make herself the victim and everything that Valkryia made her feel good about…she was lying.
“You’re not a role model, you’re a doormat. Your face doesn’t belong on the posters, and you’ve always been the worst of the Four Horsewomen!”
Bayley responds citing her accolades which includes being the first Grand Slam Champion. She says she will add beating Valkyria to that list this weekend at Madison Square Garden. As she went to leave the ring, Bayley caught the attack of her former tag team partner but Valkyria was quick to turn it around.
Valkyria landed her with a Bayley to Belly to end th segment and stand tall.
