Sol Ruca has become the first woman to qualify for the upcoming Money in the Bank match in October.
Ruca won a Triple Threat on the Sept. 7 episode of Raw by pinning Lyra Valkyria. The match also included Maxxine Dupri. With all three former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champions putting on a solid match, the end result would come thanks to a returning Bayley. We had not seen Bayley since she lost to Valkyria nearly two months ago.
As Valkyria was close to pinning Dupri off of Nightwing, the referee was yanked out of the ring by Bayley. Valkyria acting as though she saw a ghost was frozen from what transpired. Ruca snuck in and landed the Sol Snatcher on Valkyria to get the win.
Post match, Bayley went on the attack. After taking Valkyria down with punches and forearms, she landed a running knee. Bayley slammed Valkyria to the ring floor on the outside before clearing off the commentator table. She was planning to add further pain to her rival, but Valkyria was able to escape and fled through the crowd.
Next week, another MITB qualifier takes place in Mexico City. In that will be the debut of Lola Vice to Raw as she takes on two champions – the WWE Women’s IC Champion Raquel Rodriguez and the NXT Women’s Champion, Kelani Jordan. Who will join Ruca?
