Liv Morgan remains Women’s World Champion in her second title defense since WrestleMania.
On the Sept. 7 episode of Raw, Morgan took on the very same woman she took the title from at WrestleMania, Stephanie Vaquer. This time, the ladies received more time than their WrestleMania bout.
Earlier in the night, Lynch offered help to Vaquer again, but Vaquer wasn’t buying it. Lynch wanted to make a deal in helping Vaquer with the numbers game that Judgment Day always plays because she wants Vaquer to return to Chile as the Women’s World Champion. And with that, Lynch wants first shot at the title. Vaquer did not agree.
Prior to the match, Morgan mocks Lynch. She says that it appears Lynch is taking her advice and leaving to go home and be a mother.
During the match, action spilled to the outside which gave a lot of leniency from the referee, the final moments of the match did include the rest of Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) and Becky Lynch. With Perez distracting the referee on one side, Rodriguez was able to knock Vauqer off the top turnbuckle. This followed with Lynch who came out to counteract Rodriguez. With the referee busy on that side of the ring, Perez handed the women’s title belt to Morgan. This was seen by Lynch, but not the official.
Lynch went over to Perez, but that distraction allowed Morgan to use the belt on Vaquer into ObLIVion to get the pin and retain.
