Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa, based near Keswick in the Northern Lake District, announced its sponsorship of the Armathwaite Lakes 11 Cricket Club.
The team, formed last year, is set to join the West Cumbria Midweek League for the 2026 season.
Comprising mainly employees from the hotel, the club has quickly become a hub for cricket enthusiasts.
The Baggrow Cricket Ground will serve as the club’s home venue.
Team co-ordinator Albin Thomas and team captain Alwin Raju are leading the side in its league debut.
Fixtures, predominantly on Wednesdays, are now available online.
Fans are encouraged to support the team at matches to foster a strong community spirit.
One notable match will be against a Lake District Hotel team on June 15 at Keswick Cricket Ground from 12.30pm, promising a day of competitive cricket and community engagement.
Beyond league matches, the Armathwaite Lakes 11 Cricket Club is also scheduled for friendly games against Threlkeld Cricket Club on June 8, July 13, and August 10, all at 6pm, and against Keswick on June 15 at 12pm.
These matches are expected to further strengthen community ties and promote grassroots cricket in the region.
