The 27-year-old from Romford will headline the London card in what will be his third appearance at the Copper Box Arena. Fisher heads into the event after stopping previously unbeaten Ivan Balaz in four rounds last December, bouncing back from the first defeat of his professional career.
“The most exciting chapter of my professional career begins,” Fisher said. “Thank you to Dana White, Nick Khan, and the Zuffa Boxing team for this opportunity. Everything has led to this point. Bull Army, get ready to assemble. Bosh!”
Known as “The Romford Bull,” Fisher has built a large following in British boxing through his aggressive style and knockout power. Twelve of his 14 victories have come inside the distance, including five first-round stoppages.
His only defeat came in a rematch with Dave Allen at the Copper Box Arena earlier this year. Fisher had edged Allen by split decision in their first meeting before Allen gained revenge less than five months later, handing the Essex heavyweight the first setback of his career.
The signing strengthens Zuffa Boxing’s growing British roster and gives the promotion one of the country’s most recognizable heavyweight ticket sellers. Fisher arrives as one of the promotion’s highest-profile British recruits and immediately takes a headline slot on its September event.
An opponent for Fisher has not yet been announced, and the remainder of the ZUFFA BOXING 11 card is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Fisher brings proven ticket-selling ability, an established fan base and an aggressive style that consistently fills British arenas. A strong performance in London would quickly move him back into the conversation among Britain’s leading heavyweight contenders.
