Jimmy Hart just dropped a big music update. “The Mouth of the South” appeared on Duke Loves Rasslin from the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort in St. Augustine, Florida, and revealed that The Gentrys are releasing a brand-new studio album in September 2026.
That is a major throwback for Hart. Long before he became one of wrestling’s most famous managers, he was part of The Gentrys, the classic pop band best known for the 1965 hit “Keep On Dancing.” Now, decades later, The Gentrys are getting back in the studio album game.
Hart made the announcement while he was in town for River City Wrestling Con, which take place June 6 and June 7 in St. Augustine. He is scheduled to meet fans during autograph and photo sessions at the event, but now fans have another reason to talk to him this weekend.
The announcement was made during Duke Loves Rasslin, with Duke calling it a major moment for the show and praising Hart’s long history in both wrestling and music. The full interview is available now on Duke Loves Rasslin across major podcast platforms.
Hart has already built a legendary career in wrestling, but this new album shows that his music roots are still very much alive. The Gentrys are coming back with new music, and fans will finally hear it in September 2026.
