Kelani Jordan walked into the Sept. 1 episode of NXT as the new NXT Women’s Champion. She defeated Kendal Grey on Sunday at Heatwave.
Kelani took to the mic to remind everyone that not only is she the only woman to have held the NXT Women’s North American Title, the TNA Knockouts World Title, and now the NXT Women’s Title…but she won all three titles with just one shot. She was interrupted by Jaida Parker. Parker says she is now focused on the NXT Women’s Title and reminds Jordan that she has already beaten her.
Parker gets a title match next week.
Zaria, who unified the NXT Women’s North American title and the WWE Women’s Speed Title at Heatwave had a decision to make. She chose to keep the NA Title and retire the Women’s Speed Title. This somehow retired the men’s Speed Title also.
Thea Hail took on the Evolve Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons in a non-title match. Hail recently had a title match against Lyons on EVOLVE and wasn’t able to get the gold. This match however, Hail pulled off a victory with the Hail Mary. Karmen Petrovic and Nattie were not around to help Lyons.
