IYO SKY may be receiving a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title match in her future.
On the Oct. 19 episode of Raw, SKY teamed up with the WWE Women’s Champion, Chelsea Green. They faced the Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and WWE Women’s IC Champion, Raquel Rodriguez. The Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan was of course at ringside doing what she loves to do and that is cause chaos.
The final moments of the match had Green take out both Perez and Morgan on the outside, but not before SKY tagged back into the match. Rodriguez pulled SKY into the ring, but it was SKY who countered out of a powerbomb into a pin to get the win.
Also on Raw, Lyra Valkyria had a match against Lola Vice. And of course Bayley was there to see to it that Valkyria wasn’t going to win. Ever since Valkyria took Bayley out back in July and subsequently won their rematch in September, Bayley has been making Valkyria’s life a living hell. She has made sure that Valkyria didn’t qualify for Money in the Bank, she made sure that her nemesis didn’t win against IYO SKY, and now she has done the same against Vice.
In the final moments of Valkyria vs. Vice, Bayley held onto the leg of Valkyria from underneath the ring. When the referee went to check, Bayley pulled on Valkyria’s hair on the other side of the ring post. This allowed Vice to capitalize as she put Valkyria down and pinned her.
Post match, Bayley confirmed the two would put this rivalry to an end in a No DQ match next week.
Stephanie Vaquer is still nursing an injury, but once she is cleared…she will face Becky Lynch in another number one contender match. The winner will face Morgan for the Women’s World Title. I guess there’s no other women on Raw that could go for the title and Morgan will continue to not defend it, waiting on Vaquer to heal for a second time this year.
