Roman Reigns’ run as the ‘Head of the Table’ elevated him to one of the biggest heels on the roster, with a 1,316-day WWE Universal Championship reign to truly cement him as a star. Today, Reigns is reigning as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion while trying to lead the latest version of The Bloodline.
In an interview with “Complex,” Reigns noted how his long-time rival Cody Rhodes has seemingly stepped into his previous role and, with the roster changing, he’s considered shifting his own presentation.
“If I stay in shape and I do my end of the job, I could possibly still have a whole ‘nother run that we didn’t even think about,” he proclaimed.
While he’s currently carrying gold, Reigns doesn’t think that should be the main driver behind what he was referring to. The ‘Original Tribal Chief’ proclaimed that he has a sense of OCD when it comes to storytelling, and prefers when continuity is maintained, pointing out that there are a few years of “logical gaps” that need to be addressed across his career.
“It’s all about the nuances,” he said. The World Heavyweight Champion believes that he’ll have plenty of competition against the rising crop of WWE stars. “As I’m phasing out and as they’re really taking the helm, their superstardom, I think, will create those type of fantasy warfares.”
Because of this, Reigns believes that there could still be someone who rises up the roster to face him five years from now, suggesting that he believes there will be a wrestler who emerges as a future challenger to his position as ‘The Tribal Chief.’
Reigns is set to defend his title against LA Knight at the upcoming Money In The Bank PLE in New Orleans, LA.
