Both Giovani Santillan (153.8 lbs.) and Abass Baraou (153.8 lbs.) have made the junior middleweight limit for their 10-round main event battle for the WBO Intercontinental championship tomorrow night, Friday, September 11, live on ProBoxTV (7:30 pm ET/4:30 pm PT) from Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.
WBO No. 4 and IBF No. 10-ranked Santillan, 35-1 (18 KOs) will be returning home to San Diego to face WBA No. 4-, WBO No. 6- and WBC No. 11-ranked former WBA junior-middleweight champion Baraou, 17-2 (9 KOs), of Berlin, Germany, to top a card that also includes former world champion Luis Alberto Lopez (130 lbs.) returning to action to face Mexican veteran Daniel Lugo (130.4 lbs.) in the co-featured matchup.
This event is ProBoxTV’s second “Championship Series” event since switching to its $5 members only plan.
