    Something strange in my neighbourhood…

Paddy Power’s Ghost Leg is the latest – possibly greatest – innovation from Power Tower as it allows your multiples to win even if one of the legs loses.

For some of the biggest games this season you’ll get the chance to use a Ghost Leg token, and if one of your selections lose, that leg will be voided and your remaining legs will pay out.

    Spooky.

And some punters have seen the supernatural benefits of our latest creation on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

One punter pocketed over £1,400 from a tenner despite Liverpool failing to win as predicted on Sunday afternoon up at St James’ Park.

Their six-leg Bet Builder correctly called cards for Virgil van Dijk and Sean Steur, two or more shots on target for the returning Alexander Isak against his old side, and both teams to score.

And they were made to wait for a fifth leg to click, but the late penalty awarded had this punter celebrating even if it outraged Geordies when Domink Szobozslai – not Alexander Isak – stepped up to dispatch it clinically and earn a draw for the Reds.

Still, that wouldn’t have been enough to win as they’d chosen Liverpool to win as a sixth and final leg in their Bet Builder.

But, because they used their Ghost Leg token, we cancelled that losing leg and paid out on the other five winning legs.

‘Hot dang, I like the sound of that Paddy,’ I hear you cry at the top of lungs while you read this on the bus.

Well, if you like that you’ll love this 12-leg Bet Builder on the same game that paid out over £1,000 from just a £6 stake thanks to Ghost Leg.

That’s because one leg lost – that being Harvey Barnes to score or assist – while a whopping great eleven others won…

    • Player to commit 1 or more fouls: Jeremie Frimpong
    • Player to commit 1 or more fouls: William Osula
    • Player to have 1 or more shots on target including woodwork: William Osula
    • To score or assist: William Osula (Super Sub: Joe Willock)
    • Player to commit 1 or more fouls: Lewis Hall
    • Goalkeeper to make 1 or more saves: Newcastle Goalkeeper
    • Player Shown a Card: Virgil Van Dijk
    • Player to have 1 or more shots on target including the woodwork: Alexander Isak
    • Goalkeeper to make 1 or more saves: Liverpool Goalkeeper
    • Player shown card: Lewis Miley
    • Player to commit 1 or more fouls: Ryan Gravenberch

Got all that, because I am not listing them again.

Those combined delivered £1,026.96 thanks to Ghost Leg. You’ve got to be convinced now, right? One more?

    Oh, go on then.

How about Ipswich’s triumphant return to the top-flight where Brian Brobbey failed to score or assist for Sunderland, leading to a £5 eight-leg wager losing… except Ghost Leg intervened to turn that loser into a £735.36 return as the seven other picks won.

Sounds pretty great, I think you’ll agree.

If you like the sound of that, look out for Ghost Leg tokens this season and you could win even if one leg lets you down.

And who knows, maybe you could land a tidy sum even if one of your picks fails.

Me? I’m off to find the number of the Ghostbusters cos this could get seriously out-of-hand…
