William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Tuesday’s 2026 World Cup Semi-Final clash between France and Spain.

Our Prediction: Draw (23/10), France 1-1 Spain (24/5) – France To Win On Penalties (11/1).

Just like that, we’ve reached the semi‑final stage of the 2026 World Cup. Up first, tournament favourites France take on European champions Spain on Tuesday at the Dallas Stadium in a blockbuster clash.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some World Cup odds and betting angles for Tuesday’s fixture:

    France v Spain – Tuesday, 8pm

View all available markets at William Hill

    • France have impressed throughout this tournament without ever looking like they’ve had to move out of first gear. They cruised through all three group games and have since won three knockout matches without conceding, most recently making light work of a tough Morocco side.
    • This will be Didier Deschamps’ final tournament in charge of Les Bleus, and he continues to bow out in style. France have now reached the semi‑final stage in three consecutive World Cups, and this marks their eighth appearance in the last four only Italy have a better record.
    • Deschamps’ men bring serious firepower into every contest, scoring two or more goals in seventeen of their last nineteen matches across all competitions. Punters can back France at 13/10 with William Hill to win inside ninety minutes.

    • Many expected Spain to struggle after their shock goalless draw with Cape Verde in their opener, but since then La Roja have quietly gone about their business with minimal fuss. Their 2-1 victory over Belgium has now secured their first World Cup semi‑final appearance since 2010.
    • They arrive in Dallas on a sixteen‑match unbeaten run (W12, D4), while Luis de la Fuente remains unbeaten in major tournaments — winning twelve of his thirteen games in charge and drawing the other. Remove penalty‑shootout defeats from the equation and Spain are on a remarkable 36‑game unbeaten streak, surpassing their all‑time national record of 35.
    • Despite both sides boasting strong defensive records at this World Cup, it’s hard to ignore the potential for goals when two elite, attack‑minded nations collide — especially given their 5-4 Nations League thriller back in June 2025. William Hill make La Roja 2/1 to win this one inside ninety minutes.

    Bet Builder Hub:

    • Player To Score – Kylian Mbappe – Kylian Mbappe has scored eight goals so far in this tournament, whilst he’s scored in two of his three meetings against Spain.
    • Player To Score Or Assist- Mikel Oyarzabal – Oyarzabal has had five goal involvements in his last five games for Spain, also picked up two in his last meeting against France.
    • Highest Scoring Half – Second Half – A trend that we’ve seen a lot in this tournament so far, we could see it once again in this one.

Agree with our tips? Combine them in a Bet Builder at 7/1 with William Hill.

      11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
      12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
    8. The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.

      1. For retail customers: £2,000
      2. For online customers: £10,000.

    12. In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
    13. Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
