The 2026/27 season is just around the corner, and with that in mind, we look to FourFourTwo who predicts the Premier League table.

We turn our attention to the top tier, and as always, it causes plenty of reaction and debates on social media up until the opening fixtures with many checking out the bookies odds.

You can order your copy of the FourFourTwo magazine, including the much loved season preview magazine by clicking HERE.

Have a look at who they thought would finish from 20th to 1st below, some will surprise, others not so…

    20) HULL

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Hull City to finish in 20th place for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

26/27 FFT PREVIEW VERDICT: “The squad is weak for the level and owner Acun Ilicali is ambitious but not mega-rich by Premier League standards. Even if last season’s poor performance data is noisy, improving enough will be difficult.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 20th place for the 2025/26 Championship campaign – they ended up 6th and won the playoffs.

    19) IPSWICH

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Ipswich to finish in 19th place (relegated) for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

26/27 FFT PREVIEW VERDICT: “O’Neil could be an upgrade, but it’s a big gear change from McKenna’s quiet consistency to his outspoken interviews and streaky teams. The big question is if Town’s very solid second-tier defence can step up.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish as title winners for the 2025/26 Championship campaign – they ended up 2nd and promoted.

    18) NOTTINGHAM FOREST

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Nottingham Forest to finish in 18th place (relegated) for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

26/27 FFT PREVIEW VERDICT: “It could be the latter, particularly after the departure of Anderson. Glasner’s arrival does give them more hope, though – if Pereira had started the season, we feared for a repeat of Wolves’ slide.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 13th place for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign – they ended up in 16th.

    17) SUNDERLAND

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Sunderland to finish in 17th place for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

26/27 FFT PREVIEW VERDICT: “A leap from 12th to 7th in the final two games was a reward for bold transfers, even if xG tables (sorry) had them 18th. pfft! Enjoy Europe and trust that the squad has the strength – if not depth – to survive.

You can see a complete season preview by FourFourTwo by clicking HERE or buying the magazine.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 19th place and relegated for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign – they ended up in 7th and qualified for Europe.

    16) COVENTRY

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Coventry to finish in 16th place for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

26/27 FFT PREVIEW VERDICT: “Tactically flexible and able to score in myriad ways, from set pieces to five players hitting double figures last term, Cov are well equipped to stay up – or better, if they can sign or replace loan ace Carl Rushworth.”

You can see a complete season preview by FourFourTwo by clicking HERE or buying the magazine.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 3rd place for the 2025/26 Championship campaign – instead they were the title winners.

    15) FULHAM

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Fulham to finish in 15th place for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

26/27 FFT PREVIEW VERDICT: “There’s a chance Marco Silva’s fine work will be appreciated only now, because Fulham’s squad requires upgrades in midfield and attack. A hard pre-internationals schedule won’t help his replacement, either.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 12th place for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign – they ended up in 11th.
