England have called up Harlequins forward Chandler Cunningham-South to replace injured wing Cadan Murley for Saturday’s Nations Championship game against Fiji at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Steve Borthwick’s side were comprehensively beaten in their opening Nations Championship fixture by South Africa on Saturday in Johannesburg, with Murley suffering a shoulder injury.

Uncapped Northampton Saints prop Emmanuel Iyogun also joins the squad after an injury to Bath’s Beno Obano.

Sale wing Tom Roebuck was called up to the squad on Monday for Northampton full-back George Furbank, who withdrew from the starting line-up against the Boks with appendicitis.

The decision to opt against a like-for-like Murley replacement means Roebuck, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and Saracens teenager Noah Caluori are the only specialist wingers in the squad.

Tommy Freeman started started at outside centre at Ellis Park and could now shift back to the right wing, where he plays regularly for Saints.

Cunningham-South, 23, who played twice in his year’s Six Nations, missed the initial squad because of injury and has featured at lock and in the back row under Borthwick.

England defeated Fiji 38-18 when the teams last met in November, with Borthwick’s squad travelling to Argentina after the game in Liverpool to face Los Pumas in their final Nations Championship game this summer.
