“We’re combining DAZN’s global scale, premium sports content, and technology capabilities with EverPass’ market-leading commercial distribution platform to help shape the future of sports viewing in venues worldwide,” DAZN posted on X.

    The NFL Built the Network

Boxing is not the foundation of this purchase. EverPass was launched in 2023 as the exclusive commercial distributor of NFL Sunday Ticket, giving bars access to out-of-market Sunday games unavailable through residential subscriptions.

Built around football, that network persuaded businesses to install EverPass equipment and pay for its service. The company then added ESPN+, Peacock, Prime Video, Apple TV sports, Paramount+, and regional networks.

DAZN is buying a distribution system supported by American football. Boxing becomes additional inventory that can be offered through service venues already used for sports with larger and more consistent audiences.

A new multi-year agreement makes DIRECTV for Business the preferred national distributor for EverPass products. DIRECTV serves more than 300,000 commercial locations and will offer content through both satellite and streaming.

Using both delivery methods is important for venues accustomed to the reliability of satellite television. App-only service has been a harder sell for businesses worried about buffering or delays during a crowded Saturday night. DAZN is gaining specialized technology and support instead of asking bars to depend on an ordinary residential streaming application.

Commercial Boxing Comes at a Different Price

Businesses cannot legally show fights using a standard residential subscription. Sports packages for public venues are commonly priced by fire-code occupancy and business classification. EverPass confirms that it uses those factors when setting NFL Sunday Ticket prices.

Under the deal, DAZN gains the option to include boxing cards within existing business packages or offer them as add-ons. Bundling selected events would make it easier for bars already paying for EverPass to show DAZN fights.

Separate PPV charges would produce a different result. A venue may have to pay thousands of dollars to show a major fight, depending on its capacity. If DAZN places an expensive event fee on top of the regular business subscription, many operators will leave college football, basketball, or another included sport on their screens.

No pricing structure for DAZN boxing was announced with the acquisition. Distribution has been solved more clearly than affordability.

Rebranding EverPass as DAZN for Business will place the DAZN name in front of venue managers whenever they choose programming, manage screens, or purchase additional sports packages.

This repeated exposure has value in the United States, where DAZN remains associated primarily with boxing among viewers who recognize the service at all. The company becomes part of a business’s weekly sports operation instead of appearing only when a major fight is available.

One unusual ownership connection adds further interest. RedBird Capital Partners, the NFL’s 32 Equity, and TKO Group Holdings will become minority shareholders in DAZN after the transaction closes.

TKO is the managing partner of Zuffa Boxing, which streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States. Its investment does not establish an alliance between Zuffa Boxing and DAZN, but it places a company involved with one of DAZN’s boxing competitors inside DAZN’s ownership group.

EverPass gives DAZN more locations, stronger distribution technology, and regular visibility among American businesses. It does not guarantee that bars or their customers will want its boxing. The NFL built the pipeline; DAZN must now produce fights worth adding to it.
