“There’s only been one dance partner for Tyson Fury, the Gypsy King, and that’s Anthony Joshua,” said John to Pro Boxing Fans.

Asked about the possibility of Dana White promoting the fight, Fury backed the UFC president and Zuffa Boxing figure to handle an event of such magnitude.

“Whoever’s going to take on that, he’ll be a lucky man because it’s a spectacle and a half. The biggest fight in history. No matter what they say and what they don’t, it’ll be the most-watched fight in all of the world,” John said.

“If Dana White can get it, he’s a capable guy. He’s a good businessman. He’s a clever dude, you know, and he’s a new kid on the block, isn’t he?

“Unfortunately, like myself, older people have to make way for the younger ones. Let’s be honest, they can bring new things to the game, can’t they? People, you know, what they haven’t seen before. I’m sure Dana White’s capable of that.”

White has made no secret of his ambition to establish Zuffa Boxing as a major player in the sport. Fury and Joshua, meanwhile, have repeatedly been linked with a blockbuster meeting that has so far failed to materialize.

With Joshua preparing for his return later this summer and White continuing to expand his boxing footprint, John Fury believes the Zuffa figure could be the man to finally help bring one of heavyweight boxing’s most anticipated matchups to life.
