Cole Palmer was sensational in Chelsea’s win over Fulham tonight, grabbing a pre-assist, an assist and a goal. He looked back to his very best – a welcome sight after a long period of bad form for the Englishman.
Gary Neville called it the best individual performance of the opening weekend in the Premier League, and we are struggling to think of one better. Palmer and his attacking teammates put together some truly magic moves.

He was playing with a smile on his face, which is the number one thing you want to see from Cole. That’s when you know he’s enjoying his football, and that’s when the other team needs to watch out.
That smile carried through after the game too – asked whether he felt ready for the new season, he cheekily responded by asking the Sky reporter if she had watched the game.
