William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League.

The 2026/27 Champions League outright market is already taking shape, and William Hill’s latest Champions League winner odds show Paris Saint‑Germain leading the betting as they chase an historic third straight European title. Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona sit close behind, while Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool are all prominent contenders in what looks like one of the most competitive campaign in years.

2026/2027 UEFA Champions League Winner Odds

Bayern Munich look primed for another deep Champions League run, and at 6/1 they’re rightly sitting towards the front of the market. The six‑time European champions haven’t lifted the trophy since 2019/20, but Vincent Kompany’s side have been relentlessly consistent in recent seasons — reaching at least the quarter‑finals in each of the last seven campaigns.

They were knocked out by eventual winners PSG in last year’s semi‑final, but it’s worth remembering that after losing that chaotic first leg 5-4 in Paris, Bayern were actually favourites to win the whole competition heading into the return fixture. A 1-1 draw in Munich ended their hopes, but it underlined just how strong they were viewed by the market.

Domestically, Bayern strolled to the Bundesliga title last season and are expected to do the same again. That matters. When you’re able to rotate, rest key players and prioritise Europe while other contenders are locked in tight title races, it becomes a huge advantage and Bayern have used that edge brilliantly in recent years.

    Best Bet:

    • Top 8 Finish In League Stage – Inter Milan (6/4)

Sixteen points has been the magic number for finishing inside the top eight of the UCL League Phase, and Inter Milan look well‑placed to hit that mark. Their shock elimination to Bodo/Glimt last season still stings, but it shouldn’t overshadow the fact they’ve reached the Champions League final in two of their last four campaigns.

Matchday 1 is a tough opener away at José Mourinho’s Real Madrid, but beyond that, at least five of Inter’s remaining fixtures look winnable. With a settled squad, strong summer recruitment and a proven European pedigree, 6/4 for a top‑eight finish feels more than fair.

English Teams in the Champions League

    • Arsenal (6/1) – Arsenal head into the competition as one of the leading contenders. Mikel Arteta’s side have the depth, the structure and the momentum to go deep, and after falling short on penalties in May, there’s a sense of unfinished business. A first Champions League title remains the missing piece and they’re equipped to challenge again.
    • Manchester City (8/1) – City’s only Champions League triumph came in 2022/23, and they’ll be desperate to improve on last season’s round‑of‑16 exit. The big unknown is how they’ll adapt without Pep Guardiola. City still have the quality to trouble anyone, but assessing their European ceiling without Pep is difficult and the market reflects that.
    • Liverpool (12/1) – Liverpool have been knocked out by PSG in each of their last two Champions League campaigns, including a quarter‑final exit in 2026. This is a new era under Andoni Iraola, and while the Reds will always be dangerous in Europe, mounting a serious challenge this soon into his tenure is a big ask.
    • Manchester United (18/1) – United return to the Champions League for the first time since their 2023/24 group‑stage exit — and for the first time in the new league‑phase format. Michael Carrick, a UCL winner as a player in 2008, would become only the eighth person to win it as both player and manager. It’s a romantic storyline, but they’ll need to defy the odds to make it happen.
    • Aston Villa (40/1) – Villa are back in the Champions League for just the second time since their famous 1982 European Cup win. Their Europa League success last season was a huge achievement, and they reached the quarter‑finals of the UCL in 2024/25, but with key departures over the summer, it’s hard to build a convincing case for Unai Emery’s side to challenge the elite.

    Dark Horses:

    • Inter deserve far more respect in the outright market. As mentioned, they’ve reached the Champions League final in two of their last four campaigns, and last season’s domestic double — the Scudetto and Coppa Italia — shows just how strong and balanced they are. They’ve strengthened smartly over the summer while keeping their core intact, and at 28/1, they’re one of the most credible outsiders to go deep again.
