THE William Hill Premiership gets underway this weekend and champions Celtic will have to wait until Monday night to begin their defence as Dundee visit Parkhead.

As always, the Glasgow ‘Old Firm’ of Celtic and Rangers lead the way in attracting betting interest. But don’t forget Hearts went so close to clinching the title last season for the first time beyond 1959/60.

Tony Incenzo looks ahead to Monday’s fixture between Celtic and Dundee, with a correct score prediction to assist football betting on the big match.

    Celtic v Dundee

    • Celtic Park
    • Kick-off: 7.30pm

    Celtic preview

    • Final position last season: 1st

The Bhoys kept everyone guessing before securing a 14th title inside 15 years on the final day of 2025/26. Therefore it is 56 times overall Celtic have been crowned Scottish champions. They are my favourites again for the coming campaign.

The only question mark might surround whether veteran boss Martin O’Neill still has sufficient appetite and hunger to succeed at the ripe old age of 74. Ultimately, I think he does.

And I say that having closely tracked his managerial career with interest since I first interviewed him when he took the reins at Wycombe Wanderers in humble Non-League circles back in 1990.

    Dundee preview

    • Final position last season: 8th

A mixed 2025/26 return where boss Steven Pressley eventually steadied matters thereby providing optimism for 2026/27 battles ahead. Pressley said he is targeting up to four new signings imminently.

Celtic v Dundee score prediction: Celtic cruise 3-0.
