“Boots going to do all the work for him. Boots is going to set himself up,” Bradley said on his channel. “All that lunging and [expletive] that he does. See, I’m telling y’all, man. See, when you’re fighting Crawford, you got to be patient.”

Bradley may have identified a weakness in Ennis, but his prediction treats Crawford like the fighter who dismantled Errol Spence Jr. three years ago.

Crawford’s last fight against a younger opponent came against Israil Madrimov in August 2024, and that was anything but easy.

Crawford won a unanimous decision, but the scores of 116-112 and 115-113 twice reflected a competitive fight. CompuBox credited Crawford with landing 95 punches to Madrimov’s 84, while Madrimov landed 65 power shots compared to Crawford’s 55.

Madrimov disrupted Crawford’s rhythm using feints, disciplined boxing and awkward angles. It was the first time Crawford had gone the full 12 rounds since his 2016 victory over Viktor Postol.

Two years have passed since that fight. Crawford fought only once afterward, defeating Canelo Alvarez in 2025 before retiring.

Ennis is 29 and brings considerably more offensive activity than Madrimov. That aggression may create counterpunching opportunities, but Crawford would still have to deal with speed, combinations and sustained physical pressure coming back at him.

Bradley believes Ennis lacks the composure needed against an elite technician.

“If he learn how to calm the hell down, he might have a chance,” Bradley said. “He always rushing everything.”

That criticism has merit. Treating a Crawford knockout as automatic is harder to accept when the last younger opponent he faced gave him one of his most difficult fights in years.
