Unbridled excitement will unfold at the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper stage this coming weekend, with William Hill News previewing Friday night’s double header.
Football betting activity is intense. Particularly concerning plucky Non-League teams hoping to upset the EFL big boys. Those ongoing giantkilling acts inject unique magical stardust into the world’s greatest knockout competition.
FA Cup Best Bets Friday:
- Bristol Rovers to win (19/10)
- Oxford City to win (6/1)
Here is my take on Friday’s double header, with my considered score predictions to assist your FA Cup betting…
Bristol Rovers v Cambridge United
- Kick-off time: 7.30pm
- Rankings: 17th in League Two versus 8th in League One
Bristol Rovers preview: Rovers have lost six of their last seven winless games spanning all competitions.
Cambridge United preview: Four EFL encounters without victory leave the U’s one point under League One Play-Off discussions.
Score prediction: Rovers razzle-dazzle 3-1.
Oxford City v Leicester City
- Kick-off time: 7.45pm (Live on TNT Sports 1)
- Rankings: 2nd in the National League North versus 10th in League One
Oxford City preview: Two points below pole position in the National League North. Last Saturday’s 3-1 home reverse against South Shields was a first loss across six NLN engagements.
Leicester City preview: FA Cup winners as recently as 2021. Currently, the double relegated Foxes have climbed to within three points of League One’s coveted Play-Off zone thanks to one defeat in five EFL games.
Score prediction: Oxford City on point 1-0.
