Bayley has been in the headlines and also word of mouth between fans on social media for quite some time now. A couple of reports have come out about Bayley and her WWE status noting that her contract is up later this year.
According to Fightful Select, Bayley’s deal will be up b the end of the year if injury time wasn’t added onto it. As of now, WWE sources claim she has not signed a new deal. It is expected that the company would want to retain her.
In addition, Bayley’s contract negotiation may help how WWE’s top talents handle contracts.
One agent told FightfulSelect that they believe Bayley should, at minimum, test free agency. They also feel her negotiations could help reshape how top WWE talent approach contract talks moving forward.
Furthermore, AEW seems to be a logical place if Bayley does decide to depart from WWE. Fightful’s report continues:
Bayley’s contract and potential free agency have been a conversation in AEW for quite some time, with the company expected to be heavily interested and to make a play for her if she becomes available. A number of sources had been discussing the possibility of Bayley joining AEW for almost a year.
Bayley’s former tag team partner Sasha Banks has been with AEW as Mercedes Moné since 2024. Moné has been teasing future matches with Bayley in AEW on social media.
Bayley was last seen in-ring this past weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event. She lost to Lyra Valkyria.
