Just short of two years from her last appearance in AEW, former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker made her return this past Sunday at the promotions All In event. She returned to assist Persephone becoming the new TBS Champion by defeating Maya World.
In a report by Fightful Select, Baker’s return came together in the final moments.
“Britt Baker’s AEW return came together VERY late. Fightful Select has learned that Baker didn’t travel to London with the AEW roster and according to AEW sources, didn’t arrive until Sunday morning, arriving at Wembley after call time.”
It was also noted that Baker originally took herself off of the road in 2024.
“Sources close to Britt Baker told Fightful Select that Baker took herself off the road in 2024. We’ve also learned there had been multiple overtures toward an AEW return during her absence, and that they picked up around the announcement of the Rebel Heart Dynamite”
The Rebel Heart episode of Dynamite will air on Sept. 9.
