The 36-year-old has not fought since dropping a unanimous decision to Conor Benn in their November rematch, a defeat Eubank later attributed in part to the difficult weight cut. Chris Eubank Jr is expected to return before the end of the year as he seeks to bounce back from a one-sided defeat to Conor Benn, and now a former world champion who has not fought in over four years has confirmed his interest in the clash. Hampered by the weight limit and rehydration clause, Eubank continued his family’s success over the Benns with a decision triumph over his cross-generational rival last April, replicating the efforts of his father, Eubank Sr, who trumped Nigel Benn 35 years prior. However, in the rematch back in November, Eubank Jr looked a shadow…
It was one of the viral moments from England’s 3-2 victory over Mexico.A glimpse inside the Three Lions’ changing room showed manager Thomas Tuchel clapping along to the post-match tunes, before halting his celebrations in concern as Declan Rice flags that defender John Stones has injured his shoulder.Or so the boss thinks. But Stones, who’d been holding his shoulder and flexing his arm in apparent discomfort, then starts pumping his fist towards the ceiling as the drop kicks in – to cheers from his team-mates and the obvious relief of Tuchel.A bouncing Tuchel then pogos over to the 32-year-old to give…
Morning all. Let’s start with news that emerged via David Ornstein yesterday that Bruno Guimaraes has told Newcastle he wants to leave this summer to join Arsenal. We’ve known since last month that we’ve had a real interest in the Brazilian midfielder, and this is part of how this deal might happen if it goes ahead. As yet it appears there hasn’t been ‘club to club contact’, which means this stuff has come about at the behest of agents and intermediaries. It’s not an unusual development, we’ve seen this before plenty of times, and if a player is public and…
Moses Itauma respects Filip Hrgovic’s accomplishments, but he doesn’t believe the Croatian’s recent victories over David Adeleye, Dave Allen and Joe Joyce will prepare him for what he’ll face when they meet on August 29 at the O2 Arena in London. The unbeaten heavyweight made it clear that while Hrgovic’s record deserves recognition, he sees himself as a completely different challenge. “I respect you. You’ve done a lot in boxing. You’ve done a lot more than I have,” said Moses Itauma to Queensberry Promotions. “Those accolades won’t fight for you. I ain’t David Adeleye. I ain’t Dave Allen. I ain’t…
