Tony Khan has announced a seven-team AEW World Trios Championship match, involving wildcard entrants, for All In: London.
“Hangman” Adam Page, Brody King, and Bandido will defend the AEW World Trios Championship at All In: London this Sunday. Page first announced it as an open challenge, with Swerve Strickland responding. However, speaking on the pre-event media call, Tony Khan has announced the champions will defend the title in a seven-team Trios Roulette Royale.
“A Trios Roulette Royale. It’s a very different match from a Casino Gauntlet with one sudden-death pin. You’ll have trios entering until one trio or the members of one trio remain,” Tony Khan said.
Tony Khan has announced a “wildcard” team for the AEW World Trios Championship match
Tony Khan announced Bang Bang Gang, the Dogs, the Demand, the Death Riders, and the Conglomeration as the challengers. Khan also revealed a wildcard team will join the fray to challenge Adam Page and Brodido for the AEW World Trios Championship. The match will take place during the Buy-In pre-show before the pay-per-view.
“I’m always out there scouting, talking in the world of wrestling, and these are developing situations. But I think I could feel a pretty interesting wildcard team in the seventh spot. So that’s what we’re going to do. And coming out of last night’s show, I have been working on this, and I still am working on this to bring in a great wildcard team. I think I’ll be able to get it done, and you have a guarantee that we’ll be starting this thing out for free on the Buy In,” the AEW President said.
Wrestling fans are expecting former WWE Superstars Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to make their AEW debuts at All In: London. Tony Khan announcing a wildcard team in the Trios Roulette Royale might mean the former New Day members could join forces with Swerve Strickland to compete in the match.
