As the pieces gradually fall into place this summer, we wouldn’t be at all surprised to hear Chelsea mentioned more and more in connection with Marcus Rashford.
It’s already begun, to some degree. The winger is not going to be moving permanently to Barcelona after the Catalan club decided not to activate the £26m purchase clause in his loan. His relationship with Man U is pretty broken, and they will be looking to move him on. So why not Chelsea?
Rashford – a bargain buy low candidate, or another Garnacho?

The Blues are looking for a Premier League experienced attacker who can play off the left and Rashford is just that.
His wages are likely to be a major issues – Man U’s return to the Champions League has given him a massive bump (even though he wasn’t playing for them this season).
Even if he’s willing to take a huge salary cut to join Chelsea, there will surely be some major red flags. We already helped United out by buying Alejandro Garnacho a year ago – are we going to do the same again here?
In other news…
Another Chelsea talent is rising through the academy, and multiple Premier League teams are looking to sign him when his contract expires.
Mike Penders is at the World Cup with Belgium right now, but when he’s back there will be major decisions to be made about what happens to him this season.
