The event will take place on Sunday, June 28, from 12pm to 5pm at the King George V Playing Field, with all proceeds going to Brain Tumour Research and Victoria’s Promise.
Attendees can look forward to live music from The Moonshine Duo, as well as various stalls offering face painting, cakes, a tombola, Best Kebabs, and ice cream from The Hogget.
There will also be therapy stands and a ‘Test your bowling speed’ challenge featuring a speed gun.
As part of the festivities, a softball tournament will be hosted by the Hook Harriers for local teams.
The tournament is now fully booked, but spectators are encouraged to cheer on the teams.
An auction will take place at 2.30pm, with prizes including a family spa package, a Hooked on Hair voucher, a Toucan travel voucher, Aldershot football club tickets, Southern Brave shirts and a Birdworld voucher.
The top raffle prize is a bed-and-breakfast stay at The Aviator hotel in Farnborough.
The club has expressed their excitement for the upcoming day, saying: “your donations will help so many in need”
The cricket club has seen a busy start to the season, with a host of activities involving both youth and adult cricket teams.
The All Stars, Dynamos and Colts teams have been particularly active, with Thursday and Friday evenings at the King George V Playing Field buzzing with activity.
The Colts U13 hardball mixed team is on the lookout for new players.
Ellis McCarthy, an 18-year-old from Brisbane, has joined the men’s first team as an opening bowler and middle-order batsman.
McCarthy has been settling in well, having taken five wickets on his debut.
The women’s teams have also had a successful start to the season.
The Hook Ladies league team celebrated a win against Alton, with Megan Webster setting a huge total of 162 not out.
The Hook Harriers, participating in the Utilita Women’s W10 Softball Cricket Festival for the second year, have shown significant improvements in both batting and bowling.
The ladies’ team has been praised for their teamwork and camaraderie, with many having started with little or no cricket experience.
The club welcomes supporters to all matches, with facilities and refreshments available in the clubhouse.
