North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson is reportedly viewed as a virtual lock to be a top-four pick in the 2026 NBA draft.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Woo, it is “hard to see” Wilson falling outside the top four, making the Chicago Bulls a “soft landing spot” for Wilson at fourth overall.

BYU forward AJ Dybantsa and Kansas guard Darryn Peterson are widely viewed as the top two picks in some order, meaning one will likely land with the Washington Wizards at No. 1 overall and one will go to the Utah Jazz at No. 2.

Similarly, Wilson and Duke forward Cameron Boozer feel like strong bets to go No. 3 to the Memphis Grizzlies and No. 4 to the Bulls, although the exact order remains to be seen.

In his latest mock draft, Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman projected Wilson to go fourth overall to Chicago.

The 6’9″, 211-pound Wilson spent one season at UNC, and he was highly productive over the course of 24 games.

Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest, while shooting 57.8 percent from the field.

Those numbers earned Wilson consensus All-American Second Team and All-ACC First Team honors as a freshman.

The one blemish on Wilson’s campaign was the fact that a fractured hand followed by a broken thumb forced him to miss the ACC tournament and NCAA tournament.

Wilson’s talent is undeniable, though, and he would potentially be a great fit for a Bulls team that is going young and attempting to rebuild from the ground up.

Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, Rob Dillingham, Noa Essengue and Patrick Williams are all players aged 25 or younger who are expected to be among the team’s top contributors next season.

Wilson would arguably become the Bulls’ top rising star instantly, and he would bring some excitement to a franchise that has reached the playoffs only once in the past nine seasons.
