Hola a todxs and welcome to the CMLL Weekly Review! This week CMLL continues celebrating the Amazon’s month with three women’s matches.
First we had a six women tag match between Valkyria, Lady Metal and Candela taking on Johnnie Robbie and newbies, Náutica & Hécate.
The six women worked well with each other proving to the CMLL and fans that they belong. Johnnie Robbie picked up the win, making Náutica and Hécate’s first appearance in Arena México a success.
The new Mexican National Women’s Tag Team Champions Hera and Olympia were back in action taking on Reyna Isis and the TBS and CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone.
The pair of siblings are on a roll, with back to back wins, this time pinning Reyna Isis. Post match Persephone called in for a doctor to help her, teasing a D.M.D. appearance for next week.
The second elimination tournament to determine the second finalist for the 2026 Amazon’s Universal Championship was held, main eventing Friday’s show. Ten women participated including the mother daughter duo of Lluvia and Tabata, and Marcela and Skadi alongside Tessa Blanchard, La Jarochita, Garra Negra, India Sioux, La Magnífica and Kira.
Las Chicas Indomables worked together at the start of the match, just like Kira and Skadi. La Magnifica was the first one to be eliminated while Tabata was the second one. Followed by Marcela, Garra Negra and India Sioux.
With the two tag teams going against each other it was Tessa that made the difference by eliminating Lluvia, allowing the former Mexican National Tag Team Champions to team up against La Jarochita, eliminating her in the process. At the end Tessa got rid of Kira making Blanchard and Skadi the final two.
Skadi used her strength and agility to get the job done, defeating Tessa and qualifying to the finals for the 2026 Universal Championship. Skadi will take on Olympia in a couple of weeks.
This will be it for now, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
