Manchester United boss is now 10/3 from 8/1 to be the first Premier League manager to be sacked, following the Red Devil’s 3-2 defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup.

Alvaro Arbeloa remains the 2/1 favourite to leave his post first, with Fulham picking up just one point from four Premier League matches. Meanwhile, while Frank Lampard (7/2) Rounds out the top 3 most likely managers to leave after a dismal start to the season with Coventry.

    • Alvaro Arbeloa – 2/1
    • Michael Carrick – 10/3
    • Frank Lampard – 7/2
    • BAR – 5/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Following Manchester United’s defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup, Michael Carrick has seen his odds cut to 10/3 from 8/1 to be the first Premier League manager to leave.

“With just one win domestically, the ex-United midfielder looks to be coming under increasing pressure at Old Trafford and the market echoes that, with his price contracting considerably overnight.

“Sunday’s game against Fulham is a big one for the men in both dugouts, with Carrick trailing only Cottagers’ boss Alvaro Arbeloa in the betting. The Spanish manager is 2/1 favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season.”
