AEW has announced when the 2026 Continental Classic will get underway.
The company revealed on X that this year’s tournament will begin on Wednesday, November 18, with AEW Dynamite set to emanate live from Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.
The Continental Classic has become one of AEW’s most prestigious annual tournaments since its introduction. Jon Moxley won last year’s competition by defeating Kazuchika Okada at Worlds End.
Moxley also made history by becoming the winner of the inaugural Continental Challenge Cup at AEW All In. His victory established him as the first wrestler to win the tournament and claim the cup, adding to his history with the competition.
2026 AEW Continental Classic Begins After Full Gear
AEW announced the tournament’s start date on social media.
“DENVER, CO! AEW is kicking off this year’s #ContinentalClassic on Wednesday, November 18 at #AEWDynamite LIVE from the @missionballroom!”
The 2026 Continental Classic will begin on Dynamite after AEW Full Gear. The pay-per-view event is scheduled for November 14, meaning the tournament will kick off just four days after the show.
The Continental Classic traditionally uses a round-robin format, with competitors divided into the Blue League and Gold League. Wrestlers earn points based on their match results, with the league standings determining who advances toward the tournament final.
AEW has yet to reveal the full field for the 2026 edition. The company is expected to announce the participating wrestlers and additional details as Dynamite approaches.
