PLENTY of great goals have been scored across our EFL League Two fixtures already this season. Therefore the League Two betting for overall leading scorer is making really fascinating reading.

I wonder if anyone can match Swindon Town marksman Aaron Drinan’s tally from 2025/26? He netted 22 League Two goals plus another six within various cup competitions.

League 2 Top Scorer Odds 2026/27:

Punters can bet on the top goal scorer in the 2026/27 League Two at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

    • Macaulay Langstaff – 7/2
    • Kabongo Tshimanga – 9/1
    • Aaron Drinan – 10/1
    • Lee Bonis – 11/1
    • Jayden Wareham – 14/1
    • Ollie Pearce – 14/1
    • Bar – 16/1

Here is my considered analysis of the foremost 2026/27 League Two goalscoring contenders to assist your football betting…

    Macaulay Langstaff

    • Age: 29
    • Team: Salford City
    • Current 2026/27 goalscoring tally: 0.

Yet to score this campaign reflecting a tricky start for Salford City’s new boss Peter Cklamovski in losing both League Two games. As for Langstaff, he joined the Ammies from Millwall for an undisclosed fee on 3rd July having played for two years at Championship level.

Once he gets his first goal, I think there will be no stopping him in League Two.

    Kabongo Tshimanga

    • Age: 28
    • Team: Barnet
    • Current 2026/27 goalscoring tally: 1 in EFL League Two and 1 in the League Cup.

Recruited from Crawley Town for an undisclosed fee on 22nd January, Tshimanga scored twice on his Barnet debut at home to Oldham Athletic and went on to grab 12 EFL goals in the second half of last season.

His input so far has helped the Bees to pole position in our fledgling League Two table.

    Aaron Drinan

    • Age: 28
    • Team: Swindon Town
    • Current 2026/27 goalscoring tally: 1 in EFL League Two.

As mentioned above, Drinan was top dog in the 2025/26 EFL League Two goalscoring stakes. Last Saturday he was on target in the 2-1 home triumph against Cheltenham Town.

The only question mark I would raise about Drinan is his temperament after two read cards last season. But the Swindon boss Ian Holloway is a vastly experienced operator and will instinctively know how to get the very best out of his star man.

    Lee Bonis

    • Age: 27
    • Team: Chesterfield
    • Current 2026/27 goalscoring tally: 1 in EFL League Two.

Bonis ruffled the net 13 times for Chesterfield in 2025/26 League Two combat. A full Northern Ireland international, he had joined from Dutch club Den Haag during the previous summer.

Bringing the story up to date, Boris supplied the decisive strike in last Saturday’s 1-0 success for Chesterfield at Salford City.

    Jayden Wareham

    Age: 23
    Team: Exeter City
    Current 2026/27 goalscoring tally: 0

Signed from Reading in June 2025, Wareham delivered 19 EFL goals for Exeter City last season. That’s a remarkable personal total whilst representing a team relegated in League One.

So we can now expect lots more Wareham strikes at the lower level. However, Grecians boss Matt Taylor has said he won’t stand in the player’s way if the right bid comes in for him before our transfer window slams shuts next week.
