Nicolas Jackson’s Chelsea future is very uncertain right now, but an update from the Sun does shed some light on it.

With a little over two weeks left in the transfer window there are a number of players in interesting positions at Chelsea. But none have as big a question mark over them as Nicolas Jackson.
On the one hand, there have been some very convincing rumours about interest from Aston Villa and other top teams in the striker. Given he pushed for a move away from the club a year ago, and spent the season on loan at Bayern Munich, his departure has long been expected.
On the other hand, Chelsea need a good attacking option in the squad, and Jackson has impressed once again in preseason. Unlike some of the other players in his position, it’s very hard to call whether he will be in the squad or not come matchday one against Fulham.
Jackson’s future looks more and more likely to be at Chelsea
Rahman Osman’s reporting for the Sun today does add a bit of detail to Jackson’s situation. Osman says Jackson is “aware there is strong interest from Aston Villa and an unnamed club in Spain,” but “wants to stay on” and fight for his place at Chelsea.
If that’s the case it seems like he will stay, barring an offer from one of the interested teams that Chelsea simply can’t turn down.
