Chelsea’s preseason tour is over and the Blues are about to arrive back in Europe after an absurd number of air miles travelled since the start of July.
There will be a day or two of rest for those who were there, but for many the hard work is just about to begin.
A whole group of players who reached the final week of the World Cup have been on holiday ever since, and we now have information on when they will be back.
Xabi Alonso will get his hands on full Chelsea squad for first time this week

Bobby Vincent’s piece for Football.London claims that the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Reece James and new signing Morgan Rogers will be back at Cobham this week to begin their preseason programme.
Their first day back is likely to be made up of simple tests and maybe some stretching, but as the week progresses they will ramp up their efforts, just in time for Xabi Alonso and the players who have come back from tour to get back to work.
It will take a while for the new group to be fully integrated – and it feels unlikely any of them feature for more than a cameo against Real Sociedad this weekend in our final friendly. But Alonso will be delighted to finally have his whole group together for the first time.
In other news…
