Indian teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi jumped up a whopping 230 places to move to 48th place in the latest iteration of the ICC men’s T20I batting rankings, released on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old scored twin fifties in the three-match series against Zimbabwe, scoring 151 runs at 50.33, earning the Player of the Series award.
Ishan Kishan continues to remain atop the rankings of the shortest format with the third-highest batting rating of all time (916).
India ODI captain Shubman Gill reclaimed top spot in the rankings for the 50-over format from New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continue at three and four, respectrively.
Justin Greaves’ historic five-wicket haul against Pakistan helped him improve eight places in the Test all-rounder rankings to ninth. In the bowling rankings, he jumped 21 places to 48th.
