Graeme Souness, Charlie Nicholas, and Gordon Strachan root for Mexico in a gone viral Paddy Power video ahead of the England World Cup game.

Paddy Power captioned their post: “There’s a growing Mexican community in Scotland. Ahead of the game against England, we paid some of them a visit…”

Graeme Souness: We Mexico fans are laid back, but we still have a ferocious will to win. Something our next opponents are going to experience firsthand, whoever that may be.”

Charlie Nicholas: Being a Los Azteca is all about passion. It may not always win, but we will fight to the end. The atmosphere, the intensity, the altitude, I’m telling you, we are a match for anyone on our own patch. I bloody love tacos.”

Gordon Strachan: “I was in my first mariachi band when I was probably 69 years old. Feels like yesterday. Oh flower of Mexico, when will we see”

Graeme Souness: “Yeah, it’s a caffeine-rich infused herbal drink made with yerba mate plant. I like to take one after I’ve been on the old piñata.”

When asked ‘isn’t yerba mate from South America’, Souness replies: “Don’t disrespect me, Gringo.”

Charlie is told “Some people might say you’re just pretending to be Mexico fans as you’re so desperate for them to beat the English.”

Charlie replies: “That’s ridiculous. Ridiculoso. If you cut me open, I will bleed green, white and orange. Red? Whatever. This needs some more iron broomy things.”

Gordon: “When you come to Azteca, you’re not just taking on 11 players. You’re facing a population of 134 million people and a country that covers 61,610 square miles.”

Asked ‘Been on Wikipedia, have we?’ Gordon replies: “The capital is Mexico City.”

Graeme: “Look, I don’t know who you’re playing the next game.”

When told it is England, he replies: “Never heard of them. But they’re in for a hell of a game. They’ll face the full might of El Tr. Vamos, Mexico.”

    Gordon: “Vamos! Mexico!”

    Charlie: “Famous Mex-hi-co! Salud!”

On the 29th of May, Paddy Power did something similar with Jamie O’Hara, Glenn Hoddle and Teddy Sheringham feature in a new Paddy Power video rooting for PSG ahead of the Arsenal game. Take a look below…
