WWE’s Ted DiBiase recently took to social media to share an old photo of the star during a particularly hilarious phase of his career.
In a recent post on X, the “Million Dollar Man” shared a photo of himself in Japan in 1986. The photo shows DiBiase in cowboy-themed attire, complete with chaps and a vest with frills on it. DiBiase called it his “cowboy phase” in All Japan Pro Wrestling, with many joking about the look in the replies.
DiBiase’s stay in Japan is just one of several eras he had across his legendary career. DiBiase began his career in 1974, in Mid-South Wrestling, and appeared across a litany of promotions. From 1983-1987, DiBiase wrestled in Japan, where he held the NWA United National Championship as well as the PWF Tag Team Championships.
In 1987, he left the company to begin his career with WWE. However, he did return to AJPW in 1993 for a brief stint. DiBiase would continue to wrestle throughout the 1990s, and even into the 2000s for WWE sporadically. Currently, he works in WWE’s Legends program, after having been a member of the creative at the company for some time.
