There’s a new backstage update on Liv Morgan following a recent WWE live event injury scare.

Reigning Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan had an injury scare at a recent WWE live event in Birmingham, England, after Sol Ruca landed close to Morgan’s right knee after missing a crossbody attempt. Fans were concerned after they spotted Morgan clutching her knee after kicking out of Ruca’s pinfall attempt.

Now, Dave Meltzer has provided an update on the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio. The referee signaled to the back by raising one fist during the match, and Meltzer says it was used to confirm that Liv Morgan was okay to continue. He further noted that the contact was not as bad as it initially seemed, saying Sol Ruca landed closer to Morgan’s foot than her knee.

While the referee signaled that she was good to continue, Meltzer pointed out that Liv Morgan was seen limping at times during the remainder of the match.

She seemed to be in good spirits after the match, as she sent a message to her fans on X/Twitter, saying she’s travelling to London after the Birmingham live event. “You’re welcome Birmingham for blessing you with my presence tonight,” she wrote. “Currently running to London because I am the f***ing GOAT.”

Liv Morgan qualified for the final of the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament by defeating Charlotte Flair this past Friday on SmackDown. She will take on IYO SKY for the crown at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this Saturday.
