    William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Friday’s 2026 World Cup game between Mexico and South Korea.

    Our Prediction: Draw (21/10), Mexico 2-2 South Korea (16/1).

    The Estadio Akron awaits as Mexico and South Korea both look to book their place in the next round of the 2026 World Cup.

    Now, let’s take a closer look at some World Cup odds and betting angles for Friday’s fixture:

    Mexico v South Korea – Friday, 2am

    View all available markets at William Hill.

    • Mexico made no mistake in front of a packed Estadio Azteca, beating South Africa 2-0 in a fiery contest that produced three red cards. Thursday’s victory marked the first time El Tri have ever opened a World Cup campaign with all three points — a dream start on home soil.
    • Tougher tests await Javier Aguirre’s side, including this one, but Mexico know that even a draw here would likely be enough to secure progression from the group. A win, meanwhile, would guarantee their place in the round of 32 with a game to spare.
    • Mexico boast a perfect World Cup record against Asian opposition, winning all five previous meetings, while they are unbeaten in their last four clashes with South Korea (W3). The two sides also shared a 2-2 draw in 2025. El Tri are 19/20 with William Hill to make it two wins from two.

    • It wasn’t quite as straightforward for South Korea in their World Cup opener, as they had to come from behind against the Czech Republic. But two goals in the final 25 minutes ensured Hong Myung‑Bo’s side began their campaign with a hard‑earned victory.
    • The Tigers of Asia sit behind Mexico in Group A only on goal difference, and they now have the chance to make a little history — a win here would see them claim back‑to‑back victories to start a World Cup for the first time.
    • Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings between these nations, and another competitive contest is expected. South Korea can be backed at 13/10 with William Hill to take the lead at any stage of the match.

    Bet Builder Hub:

    • Both Teams To Score – Yes – Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings between the two.
    • Player To Score or Assist – Raul Jiminez – Picked up a goal involvement in each of his last two outings for Mexico.
    • Result – Draw – I’m expecting a competitive game between these two and with a point suiting both, a stalemate wouldn’t surprise me.

    Agree with our tips? Combine them in a Bet Builder at 8/1 with William Hill.

    How to take part

    Here’s how to get involved in the Acca boost offer:

    1. Place a Qualifying Acca (football accas of 4+ selections (min odds 1/5) from Qualifying Markets) in any William Hill shop via the Sports Betting Terminals or over the counter on the Smart Hub SSBT or online via the William Hill Website or App(s);
    2. If the bet wins, an Acca Boost will be added to your bet returns.
    3. The % of your win back as an Acca Boost will be determined by the number of selections in your Qualifying Acca (see full terms for breakdown of Acca Boost available).

    Significant Conditions

    1. The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
    2. This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
    3. To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
    4. A “Qualifying Acca” is:
      1. A cash stake of any value (no minimum stake);
      2. On any football acca made of 4 or more selections;
      3. Each with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or bigger;
      4. On the Promotion Markets.
    5. The “Promotion Markets” are:
      1. 90 Minutes;
      2. 90 Minutes 2 Up;
      3. Both Teams To Score;
      4. Match Under/Over Goals.
    6. No opt in required. If the requirements of a Qualifying Acca are met, the promotion will be applied automatically. If any acca contains any selection with odds of less than 1/5 (1.2), it will not be a Qualifying Acca.
    7. Qualifying Acca wins (less the value of the original stake) will receive an “Acca Boost”, whereby winnings will be boosted by a variable percentage, dependent on the number of selections in the Qualifying Acca:
      1. 4 selections – 5% Acca Boost
      2. 5 selections – 7.5% Acca Boost
      3. 6 selections – 10% Acca Boost

      9. 12 selections – 40% Acca Boost
      10. 13 selections – 45% Acca Boost
      11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
      12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
    8. The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
    9. The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
      1. For retail customers: £2,000
      2. For online customers: £10,000.
    10. There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
    11. In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
    12. In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
    13. Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
    14. Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
    15. Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
