Rangers have shortened to 7/4 in William Hill’s 2026/27 Scottish Premiership outright betting after a major early summer move that includes a double raid on Hearts. Celtic remain favourites at 8/11, while Hearts have drifted to 5/1.

Rangers sit as clear second-favourites behind the reigning champions but have narrowed the gap following a productive spell off the pitch.

The Ibrox side have completed a swoop for Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland and are expected to confirm Derek McInnes as their new manager, with the Hearts boss set to follow his former captain to Glasgow after an impressive season at Tynecastle.

Those developments have seen Rangers cut to 7/4 for the 2026/27 title, having been a bigger price before their early transfer business.

Celtic, who edged out Hearts in last season’s title race, stay at the head of the market at 8/11 as they look to retain the William Hill Premiership trophy.

Hearts, who pushed Celtic all the way last term, are now 5/1 in the outright betting. Losing both McInnes and Shankland has affected their quote for next season, with the market waiting to see how they respond in the transfer window and who is brought in to lead the side.

William Hill Scottish Premiership 2026/27 Odds:

    • Celtic – 8/11

    • Rangers – 7/4

    • Hearts – 5/1

    • BAR – 66/1

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Rangers fans have every right to feel excited about going into the new William Hill Premiership season after landing Lawrence Shankland, with Derek McInnes looking likely to follow his star striker to Ibrox.

“The Gers’ early transfer window activity has forced us to trim their odds of lifting next season’s league title into 7/4.

“Celtic remain favourites at 8/11, but that gap is closing fast, and if Rangers start well, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them shorten further.

“Having come agonisingly close last season, Hearts are now 5/1 for the title, but we’re expecting plenty of shifts in the market with a crucial transfer window ahead for all three clubs currently in the running.”
