The vacant AEW TBS Championship will have a new home on July 1.

On the July 1 episode of Dynamite, a Survival of the Fittest match will take place. Six women will participate in this bout. The first two women qualified on the June 13 episode of Collision.

Hikaru Shida defeated Zayda Steel to become the first name. Since returning from her lengthy hiatus, Shida has had a new attitude. She won the match with a unique submission. Steel winning would have been an upset, but it wasn’t a wild thought as she has been in a Survival of the Fittest match before in ROH.

Next, we had some payback from the CMLL Women’s World Champion Persephone against Julia Hart. In April, Hart misted the eyes of Persephone which caused her to miss some action. This included being taken out of the ROH Survival of the Fittest match back in May.

The final moments of this match had Hart go for the mist again, but Persephone was aware this time and countered it. A razor’s edge landed Hart to the match for the CMLL champ to win and advance.

“That’s one out of three, and soon, the Triangle will fall. … Perse is a god, and a god never stays down.”
