Chelsea youngster Sol Gordon is going to be a target for multiple teams, according to a Sky Sports news presenter.

Chelsea are always keen to sign the next great young talent, but they risk losing one here.

Sky Sports presenter Pete O’Rourke has claimed that multiple Premier League clubs are watching a Blues academy youngster as he enters the final year of his deal with Chelsea.

“Newcastle, Everton and Bournemouth are keeping tabs on Chelsea youngster Sol Gordon as they weigh up moves for the attacker,” O’Rourke wrote on his Twitter page.

“Gordon, 18, is entering the final year of his contract at Chelsea and their Premier League rivals are monitoring his situation.”

The bright shining light of Shim Mheuka and his stream of goals has really taken a lot of the attention in the academy, so Gordon is perhaps a little underrated. Of course Chelsea will try to secure him on a new deal – but if even Shim doesn’t have a pathway, it may be hard to convince Gordon that he does.

    In other news…

Mike Penders is at the World Cup with Belgium right now, but when he’s back there will be major decisions to be made about what happens to him this season.

There is a lot of talk about Marc Cucurella leaving Chelsea this summer, and we can see it happening – but only if Atletico Madrid offer some serious money to the Blues.
