The June 1 edition of Raw took place in Italy just one night removed from the Clash in Italy event.

Here, we had a new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion in Sol Ruca, and the Queen of the Ring tournament kicked off. Ruca was up first as she was made her way to the ring to soak in the biggest win of her career – defeating Becky Lynch and becoming the new Women’s IC Champion.

Ruca goes on to say that this has been a dream come true from her and she is thankful from the bottom of her heart. She gave kudos to Lynch but mocked her a bit by saying that she proved her wrong and it’s not just her saying it, everyone is saying it. She continues to say that now that she is champion, she know she will have to be a fighting one. Ruca urges any challenger to not underestimate her as Lynch did or she will take their souls.

Later in the night, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were being interviewed backstage. They were asked what will happen if they end up meeting in the Queen of the Ring tournament, but Bayley basically says they will cross that bridge if it happens. She still says they have the tag team titles to win. Valkyria excuses herself during the interview as she catches up with Ruca. She congratulates Ruca and says that now that Lynch is no longer champion, she can challenge for it again…”hint, hint” Ruca says she understands what she is saying and she said she would be happy to defend it against the woman who first won it. Bayley comes over to Valkyria after Ruca walks away and says they were in the middle of something, but Valkyria was too excited to be getting a Women’s IC Title opportunity.

The QOTR tournament kicked off and the first four-way match was between Giulia, Lash Legend, IYO SKY, and Roxanne Perez.

In the final moments of the match had Legend taking out Giulia with her Lash Extension finisher. When attempting a pinfall, SKY came off the top rope with a double foot stomp to Legend and followed it up by landing a Over the Moonsault on Giulia to get the pin and the win. Next week we will be getting another first round match as Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green takes place.

Speaking of the tournament, Maxxine Dupri feels neglected that she wasn’t put in it. Adam Pearce says “if a spot opens up” she will be added. Otis and Akira Tozawa show concern about Dupri saying they’ve noticed she has been hanging out with Austin Theory a lot lately. She wants them to trust her.

In the Judgment Day clubhouse, Perez is upset about her loss, but Liv Morgan is trying to say that if anyone else takes the crown from both tournaments, it is still a win.
