Our TNA iMPACT results for tonight feature Leon Slater vs. Joe Alonzo, Moose vs. AJ Francis, Mr. Elegance vs. BDE in an X-Division qualifying match, Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0 vs. The Great Hands, Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander, and more.

    TNA iMPACT Card

    • Leon Slater vs. Joe Alonzo
    • Moose vs. AJ Francis
    • Mr. Elegance vs. BDE – X-Division Qualifier
    • Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0 vs. The Great Hands
    • Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander
    • Indi Hartwell vs. Zoey Serrano
    • We’ll hear from The Syx

    TNA iMPACT Results

TNA is dedicating tonight’s episode of iMPACT to the memory of the late PAC.

Mr. Elegance vs. BDE – X-Division Qualifier

During the opening moments of the match, Matthew Hannifan and Tom Rhewoldt remember PAC, with Hannifan sharing the “throw your heart out” quote attributed to the late Benjamin Satterley.

    • BDE goes for the Clip Cutter, but Mr. Elegance counters. BDE then hits a pinfall counter of his own to score his first singles win in TNA.

    Grade: B-

Classy move by TNA to pay tribute to PAC earlier in the match. As for the bout, Mr. Elegance’s undefeated streak had already ended weeks earlier, so BDE’s victory did not carry the significance of ending his streak.

The Great Hands & Mila Moore Backstage Segment

The camera cuts backstage, where Jason Hotch mocks John Skyler for not leaving Order 4 when Hotch first asked him to after Mustafa Ali disrespected his family. Skyler defends himself, saying Ali and Hotch had their families to turn to, while he had no one but Order 4.

Skyler then says he has found his person, referring to Mila Moore, who is standing in the background. Skyler says he expects Hotch to work with him tonight against Mustafa Ali and Special Agent Zero. Skyler and Moore then leave as Hotch contemplates what he said to Skyler.

Dude Wipes Mascot Appears On TNA iMPACT

We get another backstage segment featuring Dude Wipes’ mascot, Deuce, and Hometown Man, who are interrupted by Expressions and AJ Francis. The duo trash-talk Deuce before Francis snatches the wipes from Hometown Man, telling him he doesn’t need them.

    Indi Hartwell vs. Zoey Serrano

    • Serrano attacks a ringside attendant with a big boot before bringing a steel chair into the ring and using it to attack Hartwell, resulting in a disqualification. Officials arrive, and Serrano eventually leaves, only for Xia Brookside to clock Hartwell with the TNA Knockouts World Championship.

    Grade: B-

TNA is really trying to build Indi Hartwell as the sympathetic babyface with the odds stacked against her. Honestly, Hartwell vs. Serrano would have been a far more compelling match for Bound for Glory than her program with Brookside for the Knockouts World Championship. Still, I enjoyed watching Hartwell get her ass kicked.

Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0 vs. The Great Hands

    • Ali sends Skyler face-first into the ring ropes before locking him in a Sharpshooter, forcing Skyler to tap out.

Winners: Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0

Special Agent 0 flattens Hotch with a right hand. Ali tells 0 to attack Skyler next, but 0 only makes his move when Tasha Steelz tells him to, leveling Skyler with a big boot.

Ali confronts 0 and Steelz, who signals for 0 to take out Ali as well. 0 obliges, taking Ali down with a lariat. Mila Moore enters the ring to check on Skyler, but Steelz orders 0 to take her out too. The big man responds with a double-handed chokeslam.

The segment ends with Steelz raising the International Championship as 0 stands by her side.

    Grade: A+

A great match with an even better post-match angle. I absolutely didn’t expect Steelz to emerge as the ultimate villain in this entire scenario. TNA really knocked the storyline out of the park with the turn. As for Special Agent 0, I’ve been a fan since he was first introduced as Order 4’s muscle, so I’m happy to see him finally set out on a solo run with Steelz as his manager.

New Match Announced For TNA Bound For Glory

We return from the commercial break to see Skyler asking for a doctor to check on Moore. Mustafa Ali enters the frame, followed by Hotch. Special Agent 0 and Steelz are already there. All four men stare each other down before breaking into a wild brawl.

Officials try to separate them until Santino Marella arrives and announces a four-way match for the TNA International Championship at Bound for Glory.

    Moose vs. AJ Francis

Francis tells Expressions to get the table. Both men set it up at ringside before Francis places Dude Wipes on top of it. Francis sets up Moose for Down Payment, but Deuce enters the ring and causes a distraction, allowing Moose to hit Expressions with a big boot through the table.

An irate Francis tries to attack Moose, who ducks the incoming blow. Francis is then distracted by the Dude Wipes mascot long enough for Moose to hit him with a toilet seat lid, followed by a spear for the win.

    Winner: Moose

    Grade: B+

This was an entertaining match, especially the closing sequence. I initially wasn’t a fan of Deuce’s involvement the moment he walked into the frame. Still, TNA found a creative way to involve the Dude Wipes mascot in the match.

    Allie Sees Rosemary

Back from the break, TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Allie and Kiera Hogan are walking down the hallway in slow motion when they cross paths with Rosemary without her makeup. Only Allie seems to notice Rosemary.

Allie and Hogan then approach an open area with a cage wall separating them from Rosemary. Allie, who notices Rosemary is wearing clothes given to patients at a mental health facility, asks if what she is seeing is real. Rosemary responds, “What is real?”

Allie says she can hear Rosemary, but Rosemary simply tells her to “beware” before running away and screaming about snakes.

    Joe Alonzo vs. Leon Slater

Joe Alonzo cuts a lengthy promo, taunting the crowd and Leon Slater while attempting to get on Nic Nemeth’s good side. Alonzo calls Slater a one-trick pony and claims that Slater is going to lose at Bound for Glory. He says the crowd will eventually turn on Slater and accuses him of taking spots and opportunities away from him. Alonzo vows to make sure Slater doesn’t even make it to Bound for Glory.

However, as soon as the bell rings, Slater clocks Alonzo with a boot to the face before squashing him with the Swanton 450 for the win.

Slater taunts Nemeth, who picks up Slater’s coat and prances around with it before bolting up the entrance ramp. Nemeth seems to forget his belts, so Slater picks them up and poses with them.

The Phenomenal Son Trains For TNA Bound For Glory

Next, we get a taped segment featuring Frankie Kazarian training Avery Styles for the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory. Kazarian tells Styles that Bound for Glory will be his opportunity to show the world what he can do.

Elayna Black Confronts The Elegance Brand

Elayna Black confronts M By Elegance and goads her into accepting a challenge for the Knockouts World Television Championship on next week’s TNA iMPACT, stirring up tension between M and Heather in the process. After Black leaves, the Personal Concierge questions M about accepting Elayna’s challenge. M reiterates that she doesn’t need them in her corner and can defeat Black on her own.

    Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander

    • Alisha Edwards is on the apron distracting the referee. Sosa goes to confront her, only to get hit with a low blow by Eddie Edwards, allowing Cedric Alexander to hit the Lumbar Check for the win.

    Winner: Cedric Alexander

    Grade: B+

Sosa’s best singles match in TNA to date, in my opinion. The two mid-air counters were smooth as silk. The Young Savage continues to improve. Edwards wasn’t going to let Sosa get away with costing him the match last week. I’m looking forward to their match at Bound for Glory.

TNA Celebrates 35 Years Of The Hardys

TNA will celebrate 35 years of The Hardys on October 13. Matt and Jeff Hardy will also book the matches for the special night.

    We Hear From The Syx

Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw reveal themselves as the people behind the attacks that have plagued TNA for the past month. Shaw says they have been watching the company and believe it has become a “rotten place” that needs to be cut apart.

Sawyer adds that nobody in TNA is safe, whether they are in the locker room, backstage or simply walking through the doors. He then sets his sights on Matt and Jeff Hardy, noting that the legendary duo has built a reputation for surviving seemingly impossible situations.

Shaw says they tried to take out the Hardys, but the brothers survived. He adds that they will get another opportunity to see just how difficult it is to kill them.

Sawyer says Matt and Jeff wanted them last week and got exactly what they asked for. He claims the Hardys are now looking over their shoulders and searching around every corner for them.

Sawyer warns the Hardys that they have spent their entire lives being extreme, but now they will find out how hard it is to kill them. He declares, “If Syx is what we are, then Syx is what we’ll be!”

    The Hardys Confront The Syx

Matt Hardy points out that the Syx have spent the past month attacking people from behind and hiding in the shadows.

Jeff Hardy says the Syx have repeatedly tried to take The Hardys out, but they are still standing. Matt adds that The Hardys gave the Syx exactly what they wanted last week by inviting them into the ring, but they still failed to put them down.

Matt recalls everything The Hardys have survived throughout their careers, including tables, ladders, chairs, cages and deletions. He declares that they are unkillable and will not die.

Matt makes the challenge official, announcing Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer against The Hardys. He then raises the stakes by proposing a No Disqualification, Anything Goes, Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Jeff agrees and says they do not have to wait until Bound For Glory, challenging the Syx to have the match in San Antonio tonight.

Matt and Jeff head toward the ring, but the lights go out. When they come back on, Sawyer and Shaw are nowhere to be found. Jeff checks underneath the ring to see if they escaped that way, but there is no sign of them.

The show ends with Jeff standing on the apron while Matt asks the fans if the Syx escaped from the other side of the ring.

Former WWE Champion Announced For TNA Bound For Glory

A box marked “TNA” opens to reveal a hat and other items. An unseen person picks up the hat and puts it on as “Hardcore Country” plays in the background.

The segment concludes with the official announcement that Mickie James will appear at TNA Bound for Glory.

    Overall Grade: B+

A solid episode of TNA iMPACT. The tribute to PAC was a class act by the promotion. I also enjoyed most of the matches on tonight’s episode, with the tag team match featuring Mustafa Ali, Special Agent 0 and The Great Hands being my pick for Match of the Night. Tasha Steelz’s post-match turn was the highlight of the entire show for me.

I hated Joe Alonzo’s promo, which means he did his job as a heel. He also deservedly got squashed by Slater. Moose vs. AJ Francis was another fun match to watch, with Deuce’s involvement adding a nice touch. Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander was great, with the young star showing some tremendous offense.

I felt the final segment dragged on for too long. The crowd was also annoying with the “What?” chants, which are arguably the most insufferable chants in pro wrestling alongside “This is Awesome.”

I just hope Syx doesn’t get the Righteous treatment and actually go over The Hardys at Bound For Glory.

That’s it for tonight. Thank you for reading, and don’t forget to check out our TNA Bound For Glory coverage come Sunday, October 11.
