AEW Dynamite Results (9/30/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with a graphic in memoriam to Benjamin “PAC” Satterley.

Excalibur then gives a statement on PAC, a man he’s had a great deal of history with. We then go to the ring, where Tony Schiavone talks about the man we’re honoring tonight. Schiavone then talks about what PAC meant to the company and everyone in it.

Jon Moxley then addresses his loss at All Out, a promo that took place shortly after the PPV event and notably being the last thing we see PAC himself in. Moxley talks about knowing how to lose in wrestling and in life and losing people and opportunities. Moxley then says you’re not always going to get what you earned or deserved and what are you going to do. Moxley then says you keep moving every single day. Moxley then talks about the sold-out crowds like tonight and watching people like Will Ospreay do what they do. Moxley then says there’s nothing better than seeing these people pay to see you. Moxley then congratulates Ospreay, but tells him all he’s earned is more hard work. Moxley then talks about the types of eulogies they give at funerals and how they either talk about what kind of person you were or what you did.

Moxley then talks about how he gets into the hard work that wrestlers do and how they have the future of pro wrestling in their hands. Moxley then says anyone like Ospreay who has the guts to be great, to be really great, to take this opportunity and do something with it. Moxley then walks off to leave us with the rest of the Death Riders. One by one they leave as well, with PAC being the last on screen.

We then go back to ringside for a 10-bell salute with the entire AEW locker room and many of them are struggling to fight back their tears.

We then get a shot of an empty chair with a towel in honor of PAC as Jon Moxley makes his way out for the first match of the night. Moxley makes his way through the crowd before heading to the ring and Orange Cassidy follows to get this Continental Championship Match underway.

AEW Continental Championship Match: The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley (c) vs. The Conglomeration’s “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy

The match starts off with a display of emotion from Orange Cassidy before both men lock up. Jon Moxley gets a hammerlock on Cassidy, who gets to the ropes to force a break. Cassidy then gets a grasp on Moxley, but Moxley manages to break free. Moxley then cinches in a side headlock, but Cassidy breaks free for one of his own. Moxley then gets Cassidy to the ropes, but Cassidy manages to turn things around for a near fall. We then get a trade of pin exchanges that ends in a standoff between both men. We then get a test of strength, with Moxley getting Cassidy down to the mat for a one count. Moxley then keeps on the pressure, getting Cassidy’s shoulders back down for a set of one counts before Cassidy starts to bridge back up.

Cassidy then gets to his feet, taking Moxley to the mat now. Moxley then transitions into a bulldog choke attempt before Cassidy rolls both of them to the ropes forcing a break. Both men to their feet now as Cassidy gets to the ropes, taking Moxley down with a shoulder tackle but Moxley fires back and he sends Cassidy to the outside before slamming him face-first onto the announce desk. Moxley then pins Cassidy. Cassidy then kicks out, but Moxley delivers some right hands on Cassidy in the corner of the ring. Cassidy then sends Moxley’s face repeatedly bouncing off the top turnbuckle from the ring apron, but Moxley knocks Cassidy onto the floor and sends him back in the ring.

Cassidy then rolls back out of the ring twice when Moxley dumps him back inside both times and meets him on the other side of the ring when Cassidy looks to roll back out once again as commentary notes that Cassidy did something similar in one of his matches with PAC during their rivalry in the early days of AEW. Cassidy then climbs to the top rope, but Moxley rolls into the corner of the ring. Cassidy then delivers his signature kicks on Moxley and nails Moxley with a thrust kick before the two men exchange forearm strikes with one another and Cassidy places his hands into his pockets. Moxley then pretends to place his own hands in his pockets, but flips off Cassidy instead.

Cassidy then hits a shotgun dropkick to Moxley and a Stun Dog Millionaire. He then rolls up Moxley with a crucifix pin, but Moxley kicks out and Cassidy sets up for a Beach Break. Moxley then escapes, but Cassidy hits a kick to Moxley and Moxley responds by looking to cinch in a Brutalizer on Cassidy. Cassidy then counters into a pinfall, but Moxley kicks out and Cassidy looks to cinch in a Brutalizer on him as Excalibur and Tony Schiavone add that if anyone would know how to counter the Brutalizer it would be Cassidy. Moxley then breaks one of his arms free and hits a Stomp on Cassidy and follows it up with a Death Rider on him for the win.

The winner and still the AEW Continental Champion, The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley!

After the match, Moxley catches his breath inside the ring. Bryan Danielson’s music then hits and he makes his way out with tears in his eyes. Moxley then makes his way up to his feet and turns his back to Danielson at first, but turns around to face him. Moxley and Danielson then embrace one another and share a long hug with each other. Moxley’s music then hits and we get a graphic hyping up an 8-Man Tag Team Match coming up next.

“Hangman Adam Page then pays an emotional tribute to PAC. Page says he immediately found out that Benjamin was kind, welcoming and humbling when he first arrived in AEW. Page then says he loved working with Benjamin and felt like he became really close with him over the last couple of months. Page then says he’s glad he told Benjamin how much he loved and respected him. Page then says he wished he could express how much Benjamin loved professional wrestling and the people he worked with.

The match starts off with Don Callis Family going after The Elite, sending all but Nick Jackson out of the ring before attacking him. Kyle Fletcher is evidently the legal man for the Don Callis Family as he covers Nick for a two count. Nick then starts to fight back and Matt comes in for an assist. A tag is then made to Trent, but the Young Bucks take him to the outside with a sunset into a German suplex. They then pose but are cut off by Rocky Romero, who sends them out before posing in the corner only to realize that Page has arrived. He then turns to face Page, but Omega slides into the ring behind him. Fletcher then tries to direct Romero how to leave the ring, but the Young Bucks stop him at the apron before Page and Omega send him to the outside.

Beretta then comes ack in but is cut off by the former tag champs before the current champs help fend off Fletcher and Knight. The Elite then leap to the outside with a Terminator-style dive sending the Don Callis Family to the floor and Page brings Romero back into the ring. We then see the rest of the Don Callis Family back in as well and The Elite hit some punches in each corner before taking Romero down for a near fall. Fletcher and Knight then take out Page and Omega on the outside while Beretta tags in to drop Matt Jackson for a near fall. Romero and Matt are now in the ring, with Matt being sent to the DCF corner only to fend them off. He then goes for a tag but Romero cuts him off, sending him into the corner again before trading off corners for a forever clothesline until Matt cuts him off, setting up for a locomotion suplex that catches Beretta as well.

A tag is then made to Nick Jackson and he fends off RPG Vice until Fletcher comes in. He then sends Nick to the corner as Knight joins him in the beatdown. Nick then fights them off long enough for a tag to Page, who sends everyone else out except for Knight, taking him out with a Dead Eye but only getting a two count. Omega then reaches out for a tag and gets it, but Knight fights him off long enough for RPG Vice to try and intervene only for Romero and Beretta to each take a snap dragon suplex instead. Beretta then tries to set Omega up for a double team but it all goes wrong as he gets taken out instead and takes a Superkick Party from all four of The Elite. They then follow up with dives in and out of the ring, clearing it out aside from Omega and Beretta. Omega then goes for a V-Trigger but Beretta escapes, only to take a Buck Shot into a V-Trigger. BTE Trigger by the Young Bucks is followed by a One-Winged Angel for the win.

The winners of the 8-Man Tag Team Match, The Elite (“The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and “Hangman” Adam Page)!

Shafir then hops on the apron, only to be grabbed around the throat by Archer but she turns it into an armbar of sorts against the rope before Garcia sends him out. Doyle then comes back in but so are all of the Death Riders, who go for a carousel of clothesline on him in the corner.
