WWE is loading up next week’s shows with more MITB qualifiers. Four major names will battle for spots across Raw and SmackDown.
The road to Money in the Bank 2026 will continue with two Triple Threat matches on the September 21 episode of RAW. Meanwhile, SmackDown on September 25 will feature another two qualifying matches. One of them will be a big showdown between CM Punk, Finn Bálor, and Gunther.
Punk’s match could be especially important after his latest setback in the Undisputed WWE Championship picture.
WWE announces MITB qualifiers for Sept. 21 Raw and Sept. 25 SmackDown
The September 21 edition of RAW will feature a men’s Triple Threat between Dragon Lee, Solo Sikoa, and Dominik Mysterio. The winner will earn a spot in the Men’s MITB ladder match.
On the women’s side, La Catalina, Roxanne Perez, and Iyo Sky will face each other for another spot in the Women’s MITB match.
Catalina enters the match after a major win at AAA TripleMania 34. She defeated Flammer to become the new Reina de Reinas Champion. She is also set to defend the title against Perez at Worlds Collide on September 26. That makes Monday’s qualifier an interesting preview of their upcoming match.
LA Knight is also advertised to appear on RAW. He recently earned a World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns at MITB 2026. The match was confirmed after Knight attacked Reigns after the show went off air following the OTC’s successful title defense against Penta.
While RAW will feature two qualifying matches, the biggest match could come on SmackDown.
Bálor, Punk, and Gunther will meet in a Triple Threat on September 25. The winner will earn a spot in the Men’s MITB ladder match.
For Punk, the match holds a greater purpose because of his rivalry with Sami Zayn.
Punk lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Zayn on the September 11 episode of SmackDown. The match also involved interference from Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Kevin Owens.
The rivalry continued on the September 18 episode of SmackDown. Zayn successfully defended the championship against Owens, while Punk once again got involved in the match. With Sami Zayn still holding the title, Punk will likely shift his focus toward the MITB match to seek his redemption.
On the women’s side, next week’s SmackDown will feature Giulia vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lash Legend for another spot in the Women’s MITB ladder match.
Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams currently hold spots in the men’s field. On the women’s side, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Jacy Jayne have qualified.
