Both of the current top women in WWE have landed movie roles according to Deadline.
First, the current WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green will be taking part in an upcoming film titled, We Could Be Heroes. It is set to wrap soon in Ontario, Canada and is said to be in the comedy adventure genre. Green will join Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Peter Facinelli (The Twilight Saga), Mark Elias (9-11: Lone Star) and newcomer Serena Wang in the film.
Synopsis of We Could Be Heroes:
The film follows “an unlikely wannabe detective who finds himself pulled into a very real mystery when a young gamer gets into trouble and turns to him for help recovering her stolen gaming rig. What begins as a seemingly straightforward favor quickly develops into a much bigger adventure.”
Liv Morgan, who is the current Women’s World Champion in WWE, has also snagged a role.
According to Deadline:
Production is underway in Mississippi on psychological thriller Ping, starring Obsession actress Megan Lawless.
Lawless is joined in the cast by Fivel Stewart (The Recruit), creator Savanah Moss, WWE star Liv Morgan (Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo) and Carter Jenkins (After).
Synopsis for Ping:
Written and directed by Richie Gordon, in his feature debut, the movie follows “an aspiring creative director who lands a remote dream job, but is forced to choose between her sanity and a boss she can never mute.”
