Tuesday and Wednesday feature six matches in the Carabao Cup and William Hill News preview and provide our top EFL Cup betting tips ahead of Tuesday night’s action in the 2026/27 EFL Cup.

    EFL Cup 3rd Round Tips:

    • Bournemouth to win both halves (7/4)
    • Leyton Orient to win (2/1)
    • Hull to win the tie (15/8)
    • Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals (11/10)
    • Newcastle to win to nil (19/10)

    Bournemouth vs Lincoln City Prediction

Winless in the league, Bournemouth will be desperate to get their first win of the season against Lincoln City on Tuesday. The Cherries will also be wary of workload ahead of the Europa League kicking off next week, so Marco Rose may well rotate his squad.

Lincoln are unbeaten in four. The Imps can take some confidence from a draw with Southampton at the weekend, but avoiding defeat in this one is an enormous ask.

We fancy Bournemouth to get this wrapped up comfortably.

    Leyton Orient vs Bradford Prediction

Bradford halted a two-match losing run with a win over Mansfield at the weekend. Leyton Orient drew away to Luton after thumping Bromley at the start of the month.

The betting markets favour Bradford, despite the visitors having a couple of poor results of late. Leyton Orient haven’t been past the third round of this competition since 1990.

It was one win apiece when these sides met last year. Leyton Orient won their home fixture, and home advantage should stand them in good stead here.

    Sunderland vs Hull Prediction

Hull are unbeaten in four matches and haven’t conceded in the Premier League yet this term. Sunderland’s disappointing defeat to Ipswich has been followed by a couple of decent results.

Will Hull be looking to build further momentum? Could Regis Le Bris shuffle his pack to keep his starters fresh?

A looming European campaign might mean the League Cup is no more than an unwanted distraction for Sunderland. Hull are underdogs, but they have nothing to lose by going for a win.

    Crystal Palace vs Middlesbrough Prediction

Middlesbrough have started the season in good form, but clean sheets have been hard to come by. The team from the northeast haven’t kept a clean sheet since the first round of this competition.

Crystal Palace will hope their 3-2 win at the weekend will kickstart their season. Tyrick Mitchell and Eddie Nketiah are probably unavailable here, though, and the Eagles have conceded eight goals in three matches.

Goals are inevitable in this one given the porous nature of the defences.

    Millwall vs Newcastle Prediction

Millwall have a long injury list but still managed to hammer Bolton at the weekend. The result got the London club back on track after heavy defeats to Southampton and Wrexham.

Newcastle have had a decent start to the season. They came from 2-0 down to draw with Bournemouth on Saturday after an impressive win away to Tottenham.

With no European commitments, the Magpies will be eyeing another deep run in this competition.
